Now Veryhachium (an acritarch genus). Originally Hystrichosphaeridium, subsequently (and now) Veryhachium (an acritarch genus), thirdly Baltisphaeridium; see also Micrhystridium (an acritarch genus; combination not validly published).
Tax. sr. synonym of the acritarch species Veryhachium cucruse Timofeev, 1962, according to Martin, 1969. This species was retained in the acritarch genus Veryhachium Deunff, 1954 by several authors (e.g. Cramer and Diez, 1979).
