Acanthodiacrodium timofeevii

Acanthodiacrodium timofeevii, Shakhmundes, 1971

Now Neodiacrodium. Originally Acanthodiacrodium, subsequently (and now) Neodiacrodium.
Sr. homonym of Acanthodiacrodium timofeevii Golub and Volkova in Volkova and Golub, 1985.
Fensome et al., 1990 accepted this name as validly published, at least in the published translation of Shakhmundes, 1971, the original of which is in Russian. Shakhmundes, 1971 cited "Fig.1d" as holotype; however, no illustrations appear to have accompanied that publication (or, at least, none is present in the copy held in the Geological Survey of Canada Library, Ottawa). In the published translation, fig.1e is listed as the holotype of Acanthodiacrodium timofeevii.

Holotype: Shakhmundes, 1971, fig.1e
Age: Cretaceous-Early Aptian
