Cymatiosphaera membranacea (Philippot, 1949) Davey and Williams in Davey et al., 1969

Name illegitimate; jr. homonym of Cymatiosphaera membranacea (Deunff, 1955 ex Deunff, 1961) Stockmans and Williere, 1969.
Now Cymatiosphaera philippotii (a prasinophyte species). Originally Hystrichosphaeridium membranaceum, subsequently Cymatiosphaera membranacea (name illegitimate), thirdly (and now) Cymatiosphaera philippotii (a prasinophyte species).
Sr. homonym of the prasinophyte species Cymatiosphaera membranacea Kiryanov, 1974. This combination was not validly published in Davey and Williams, 1966 since these authors did not fully reference the basionym.
