Cymatiosphaera radiata forma serratocyclus O. Wetzel, 1933
Now Litosphaeridium serratocyclus. Originally Cymatiosphaera radiata forma serratocyclus, subsequently (and now) Litosphaeridium serratocyclus.

Original description [Wetzel, 1933b, p. 27] (translated from German):
"Toothed wheel" (? = Cymatiosphaera radiata n. g. n. sp., forma serrato cyclus n. f.).
Plate IV, Fig. 9.
Small spherical shape with bumps or prongs (at least in the plane of the figure). The outer outline also resembles a gear with blunt projections. The short projections could perhaps (!) be interpreted as supports for an incomplete or as remnants of an otherwise vanished rim.
Assuming this, the fossil could be directly placed here. Cf. note on the "cone sheath," p. 57.
Color: brown.
Dimensions: 44 μ × 40 μ × 25 μ; sphere without bumps approx. 25 μ.
Rarely observed; first found as a fossil (?). Plate IV, Fig. 9 from Preparation 118 of a glacial erratic flint.

Taf. IV Fig. 9.
Kleine Kugelform mit Höckern oder Zacken (wenigstens in der Bildebene der Figur). Der äußere Umriß ähnelt zugleich einem Zahnrädchen mit stumpfen Vorsprüngen. Die kurzen Fortsätze könnten vielleicht (!) als Stützen eines unvollendeten oder als Überbleibsel eines sonst verschwundenen Saumes aufgefaßt werden.
Dies vorausgesetzt, ließe sich das Fossil unmittelbar hier anreihen. Vgl. Bemerkung zur ,,Zapfenhülle", S. 57.
Farbe braun.
Maße: 44 μ: 40 μ: 25 μ; Kugel ohne Höcker ca. 25 μ.
Selten beobachtet; zum erstenmal fossil gefunden (?). Taf. IV Fig. 9 aus Präp. 118 eines Geschiebefeuersteins.
