Veryhachium trispinosum

Veryhachium trispinosum (Eisenack, 1938) Stockmans and Williere, 1962

Originally Hystrichosphaeridium, subsequently (and now) Veryhachium, thirdly
Baltisphaeridium (an acritarch genus); see also Micrhystridium (an acritarch genus; combination not validly published).
Tax. sr. synonym of the acritarch species Veryhachium cucruse Timofeev, 1962, according to Martin, 1969. This species was retained in Veryhachium by several authors (e.g. Cramer and Diez, 1979). The combination was not validly published in Deunff, 1954 and Stockmans and Williere, 1960 since these authors did not fully reference the basionym. It was not validly published in Deunff, 1954 additionally since that author did not clearly use the name Veryhachium trispinosum. P÷the de
Baldis, 1975 gave the citation "Veryhachium trispinosum (Eis.) emend." but did not provide an emended diagnosis. Cramer and Diez, 1979 implied that Veryhachium trispinosum (or Veryhachium trisulcum) may be the senior synonym of the acritarch
species Hystrichosphaeridium (now Deunffia) monacanthum Deunff, 1951.
