Now Spiniferites microceras ssp. Iaticornutus. Originally Spiniferites microceras var. Iaticornutus, subsequently (and now) Spiniferites microceras ssp. Iaticornutus.

A variant of the Sp. microceras. Shell broadly oval, thin-walled. Processes relatively short, fairly sturdy (thick), in part interconnected with sporadically coarsely serrated spanning-membranes. The apex bears a short , but broad and flat horn, which sits on the apex with a broad base, again becomes broader after having become slightly narrower and terminates into several pointed extremities, of which the two external ones are the longest.
Dimensions: Shell about 70 x 65 Ám, overall about 86 x 82 Ám, horn about 14 Ám long and in the middle about 5 Ám wide.
Occurrence: Rivernook Bed, Victoria.
