Original diagnosis: Islam, 1983, p. 90
Autocyst subspherical and proximochorate; autophragm chagrinate; possesses generally numerous nontabular thin slender solid processes, proximally little wider and distally aculeate, sometimes possesses relatively few processes; processes sometimes partly proximally joined in pairs or groups; paracingulum sometimes indicated by process alignment; ambital folds in periphragm often present; archeopyle intercalary type 3I but frequently absent making cyst orientation difficult.
Dimensions: Holotype: cyst body 57 x 53 µm, length of processes 4-8 µm. Range: cyst length 36(46)57 µm, breadth 31(40)53 µm, length of processes 3-10 µm.
