Impletosphaeridium luxurium

From Fensome et al., 2019:
Impletosphaeridium luxurium Eaton, 1976, p.309, pl.21, figs.3–4; text-fig.25F. Holotype: Eaton, 1976, pl.21, fig.3; Bujak et al., 1980,
pl.5, fig.6. Age: Middle Eocene (see Aubry, 1986).

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Original diagnosis: Eaton, 1976, p.309
Cyst body subspherical with a smooth surface. Processes numerous, membranous and of variable breadth. They are bifurcate or digitate with slender aculeate distal terminations.
Dimensions: Holotype: diameter of cyst body 37 µm; length of processes up to 15 µm. Observed range: diameter of cyst body 30-37 µm; length of processes up to 16 µm. (n = 6).

Affinities:
Eaton, 1976, p.309: The processes in I. luxurium are similar to the membranous ones in I. kroemmelbeini Morgenroth, 1966. I. luxurium is usually distinguished, however, by having broader processes, and does not exhibit the slender rod-like ones which are present in I. kroemmelbeini.
