Chytroeisphaeridia microgranulata
Chytroeisphaeridia microgranulata, He Chengquan, 1991
He Chengquan et al. (2009, p.218) indicated that they were validating this species, but it is not clear why they considered the name to have been invalid in He Chengquan (1991).
Holotype: He Chengquan, 1991, pl.49, fig.17; pl.51, fig.6.
Location and stratigraphy: Wuqiha County, Basebulak; Qimugen group upper member.
Age: Early Eocene
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Original description: [He Chengquan, 1991]: (translated by Suning Hou, 07-01-2019):
Description:
Cyst is small, outline nearly oval or bowl-shaped. Thin wall, 0.5-1 μm thick, two-layer or delamination unkown; surface usually weakly granular, part of the particles can be connected into short wrinkles, the contour is often smooth. The surface of few specimens is smooth.
Archeopyle precingular, the outline is rectangle (size 17. 5 × 8μm) or pentagonal, on most lateral view specimens, the archeopyle is usually angular. The operculum fell off or in situ preserved.
Dimensions:
Cyst diameter 20-35 μm (measured 20); Holotype diameter 30 μm
Affinities:
This species differs from Chytroeisphaeridia pachytheca (Cook et et al., 1971) comb. Nov. in the thin wall; also differs from Fromea minor (Jiabo) in precingular archeopyle.
