Proximate cyst of subsphaerical shape, slightly flattened at apex and antapex. The autophragm is thin-walled and ornamented by fine discontinuous ridges, rugulae and granules. The sculpture partially marks parasutures. Similar sculpture elements are locally present as incomplete accessory parasutures and also occur in a non-tabular vermiculate pattern. The archaeopyle is epicystal with a hinge at the parasulcus.

Dimensions of holotype: Breadth 62Ám.
Dimensions of measured specimens: Breadth: 60 (67) 78Ám. (5 specimens measured)

Comparison: Mendicodinium caperatum BRIDEAUX, 1977 is the morphologically closest relative of M. kemperi. M. caperatum differs by having an exclusively non-tabular ornament which is of lesser relief.
