Batiacasphaera dictyophora Gao Ruiqi et al., 1992b, p.40–41,61, pl.11, fig.4. Holotype: Gao Ruiqi et al., 1992b, pl.11, fig.4. Age: Late Cretaceous.

Original description: [Gao Ruiqi et al., 1992b] (translated from Chinese with Google):

Description: The cysts are small, subcircular in outline, lacking apical bulges and a sacral sacral band. The protowall is thin, approximately 0.5 μm thick, with a distinct reticular surface. The reticular meshes vary in shape and size, ranging from polygonal to subcircular, with diameters ranging from 1.5 to 2.5 μm. They also possess secondary knife-shaped folds. The sacral lamina is represented only by the palaeostoma. The palaeostoma roof is type (A), with the operculum free. In addition to the primary palaeostoma suture, the secondary palaeostoma sutures between the protostomal lamina are well developed, indicating the presence of five to six protostomal lamina.

The diameter of the large and small cysts is 31.2 μm.

Comparison: This new species differs from Batiacasphaera reticulata (Davey, 1969), which has a thin protowall, larger reticular meshes, and a well-developed secondary palaeostoma suture. The latter has a wall thickness of 1.0-1.5 μm, a weakly fine reticular surface, a nearly circular palaeostoma outline, and no secondary palaeostoma suture. Origin: Members 1 and 2 of the Nenjiang Formation, Zhaodong City, Heilongjiang Province.
