Batioladinium gochtii subsp. gochtii
From Fensome et al., 2019:
Batioladinium gochtii subsp. gochtii.
Autonym. Holotype: Alberti, 1961, pl.5, fig.8.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Original description: [Alberti, 1961] (as Broomea gochti) - translated from German:
Broomeo gochti n.sp.
Plate 5 Figs. 8—10, 16?
Derivatio nominis: After H. Gocht, Bamstorf.
Holotype: The specimen preserved in specimen no. A 30 and shown in Plate 5 Fig. 8.
Locus typicus: Schünow borehole near Berlin.
Stratum typicalum: Valendis.
Diagnosis: Carapace flattened, its outline elongated-oval, turnip-shaped. With an often long, ± distinct apical horn, slightly blunted or pointed at the free end. Usually only a very small antapical horn in the form of a well-defined, small bulge. Carapace surface rough, often covered with small tubercles.
Additions: The epitheca is more conical than the smaller hypotheca. The greatest width of the carapace is usually below the equator. A second antapical horn is rarely indicated. Some specimens have an almost rectangular, slightly rounded egress hole below the apex. The carapace membrane is pale yellow in color.
Br. gochti n. sp. differs from the other species of the genus in the outline of the carapace, its surface covered with tubercles, and the development of one antapical horn. The other is usually completely reduced.
Dimensions of the holotype: length 93 μ, width 46 μ, length of the apical horn 16 μ, length of the anta-pical horn approximately 4 μ. In other specimens, the carapace length varies between 70 μ and 84 μ, and the width between 32 μ and 44 μ.
Material: Over 50 specimens.
Occurrence: Valendis of the Schünow and Dabendorf wells near Berlin, Hauterive of the Werle borehole?
