Selenopemphix warriensis Biffi and Grignani, 1983

Holotype: Biffi and Grignani, 1983, pl.7, fig.4
Paratypes: Biffi and Grignani, 1983
Locus typicus: Niger Delta, Nigeria
Stratum typicum: Oligocene

Original diagnosis: Biffi and Grignani, 1983, p. 143
Autocyst proximate, elliptical in polar view, commonly apically-antapically compressed; epicyst conical, with rounded apex. Hypocyst with two well-developed, elongate to slightly acuminate antapical horns (pl. 7, fig. 4). Autophragm wrinkled. Paracingular margins marked by distally entire, raised, large (4-7 µm) ridges devoid of spines. Parasulcus sometimes defined by shallow indentation. Archeopyle intercalary 2a, typically offset laterally to middorsal line.
Dimensions: Holotype: autocyst thickness 60 µm; breadth 105 µm. Other specimens: autocyst thickness 50,5 µm, breadth 85-120 µm. Number of specimens measured, 20.

Biffi and Grignani, 1983, p. 143: Selenopemphix wamensis differs from S. nephroides in having a wrinkled autophragm, a paracingulum expressed by large ridges and in being larger in size: S. warriensis mean breadth is 100 µm; S. nephroides mean breadth is 60 µm.
