Endoscrinium irregulare (Cookson and Eisenack, 1958, p.28-29, pl.10, figs.1-2) Riding and Fensome, 2003, p.22.
Originally Wetzeliella, subsequently Wetzeliopsis (name not validly published), thirdly Scriniodinium?, fourthly Tubotuberella, fifthly (and now) Endoscrinium.
Taxonomic junior synonym: Wetzeliella meckelfeldensis, according to Costa and Downie (1979, p.43) - however, Lentin and Williams (1981, p.290) retained Wetzeliella meckelfeldensis.
Riding and Fensome (2003, p.22) cited the basionym as Scriniodinium irregulare rather than Wetzeliella irregularis, but otherwise fully referenced the basionym; hence, their validation of the combination is accepted here.
Holotype: Cookson and Eisenack, 1958, pl.10, fig.1; Jan du Chêne et al., 1986a, pl.109, figs.1-2.
Age: Late Jurassic.

Shell roughly four-sided with rather abbreviated apical and antapical horns and two more strongly defined lateral horns; the membrane is provided with somewhat distally placed bifurcate proceses. At the antapex in the type, the processes have fused more or less giving it a somewhat lobed outline. The capsule is nearly shpaerical and completely fills the shell, a large pylome is situated near the apex. in two of four specimens a "girdle" is faintly indicated.
Dimensions: Holotype - overall length 119 Ám (apical horn is turned back), width 133 Ám; capsule 85 x 81 Ám. Paratype - overall length 107 Ám, width 114 Ám, capsule 76 x 76 Ám.
