Original description (Lu Mengning and Wang Ruoshan, 1980) (translated from Chinese):

Granoreticella stabilis (sp. nov.) (Plate III, 29)

Type specimen Plate III, 29, SJm9-6 (12).

The outline is nearly circular. The shell wall is about 2 microns thick, usually 2 layers. The surface has a mesh pattern. The mesh is a polygon of uneven size and irregular shape, with a diameter of 3-10 microns; the ridges are raised, composed of 1-2 rows of dense and irregular particles and small spines. The size and height of the particles and small spines are different, resulting in uneven ridges. The outline is coarse and serrated. The shell diameter is 46-48 microns.

The new species is similar to G. conspicuis Jiabo, but is distinguished from the latter by its uneven mesh size and irregular shape.
