Originally Kisselevia ornata forma reticulata, subsequently Kisselevia ornata subsp. reticulata.
Taxonomic senior synonym: Kisselevia ornata, according to Lentin and Vozzhennikova (1989, p.221,223).
Holotype: Vozzhennikova, 1967, pl.44, fig.1.
Locus typicus: W. Siberia, Tara
Age: Eocene.
Original diagnosis: Vozzhennikova, 1967, p.104: Same as for the species with the following additions:
Thecal surface covered with coarse, scanty reticulation. No spines developed in the angles of the cells.
Dimensions: Holotype- Iength of theca 108 Ám, breadth 94.5 Ám, width of transverse furrow 7 Ám. In other specimens: length of theca 99.9 - 122 Ám, breadth 94.5 - 108 Ám, width of traverse furrow 5.4 - 8.1 Ám.
