Palaecysta crispabaculata subsp. delicata Chen, 2013, p.291, pl.12, figs.135–138,140–144; text-fig.9, no.2, text-fig.10, no.28.

Holotype: Chen, 2013, pl.12, fig.142.
Age: early Hauterivian.

Original description (Chen, 2013)
Palaecysta crispabaculata subsp. delicata subsp. nov. delicata,
Latin, fragile, depicting the delicate nature of the individual processes of the process clusters.
Holotype. Plate 12, Figure 142, Slide 1160-67, N31.
Paratypes. Plate 12, Figure 135, Slide 1160-67, H40; Plate 12, Figure 137, Slide 1160-67, O42; Plate 12, Figure 140, Slide 1160-67, P39; Plate 12, Figure 143, Slide 1154-57, F27; Plate 12, Figure 144, Slide 1154-57, S36.
Other specimens. Plate 12, Figures 136, 138, 141.

Diagnosis: The base of process clusters is represented by an extremely low arcuate ridge, from which individual processes, average about six, emerging and terminating distally into a y-shape branching. This subspecies is characterized by the fragile and wavy nature of the individual processes (Figure 9 drawing 2; Figure 10, drawing 28).

Dimensions (based on measurements from 50 specimens):
Holotype – Whole specimen 132 µm; central body 81 µm; process length 30 µm
Range – Whole specimen 125 (130) 138 µm; central body 72 (80) 83 µm; process length 28 (32) 35 µm

Remarks: This subspecies differs from P. crispabaculata in having a more fragile appearance of the wavy-shaped processes and slightly larger cyst size.
Occurrences in the Ankamotra-1 well. P. crispabaculata subsp. delicata occurred abundantly mainly in Zone 1 (Early Hauterivian).
