Palaecysta integra subsp. digitata

Palaecysta integra subsp. digitata Chen, 2013, p.290, pl.2, figs.16–17; text-fig.9, no.14, text-fig.10, no.38, text-fig.11, no.67.

Holotype: Chen, 2013, pl.2, fig.17.
Age: late Tithonian.

Originals description (Chen, 2013):
Palaecysta integra subsp. digitata subsp. nov. digitata,
Latin, finger-like, depicting the terminal ending of the membranous pre- and post-cingular process clusters.
Holotype. Plate 2, Figure 17, Slide 1280-83, R35.
Other specimens. Plate 2, Figure 16.

Diagnosis. This subspecies is characterized by short, finger-like, distally branching of the membranous process clusters (Figure 9, drawing 14; Figure 10, drawing 38; Figure 11, drawing 67); it, otherwise, is similar to P. integra.

Dimensions (based on measurements from 10 specimens).
Holotype – Whole specimen 120 µm; central body 85 µm; process length 30 µm
Range – Whole specimen 110 (115) 125 µm; central body 76 (82) 86 µm; process length 28 (30) 38 µm

Remarks. This subspecies differs from Palaecysta integra in having short distal digit-like branchings. It also differs from P. pectita, P. pectita subsp. merinai and P. morondavaensis in having longer non-branching portion of the membranous process clusters.
Occurrences in the Ankamotra-1 well. P. integra subsp. digitata occurred in basal Zone 5 (Late Tithonian).
