Supplemental description: Hultberg, 1985, p. 140-141
Chorate cyst, composed of endophragm and periphragm appressed between lateroventral pericoels. The surface of the endophragm is smooth. The surface of the periphragm is smooth to slightly spongious. The shape of the endophragm is subspherical. The shape of the periphragm is subspherical, with two lateroventral protrusions. Paratabulation is incompletely expressed by processes at gonal and intergonal positions, and slightly elevated ridges between the processes. The processes are slender, solid, and bifurcate. Sometimes, the bifurcation has the appearance of a capitation. The paratabulation is gonyaulacacean. Paraplates 1" to 6'' are indicated by the zig-zag margin of the archeopyle. Paraplates 2''' to 5''' are indicated by gonal processes, and parasutural ridges. Paraplates 1''' and 6''' are probably too small to be individually recognized. Paraplate 1'''' is indicated by gonal processes. The archeopyle is apical, type tA. Operculum free. Paracingulum is indicated on the dorsal side of the cyst by slightly elevated ridges along the paracingular margin. Parasulcus is indicated by a slight depression on the midventral surface. Size - 70-120 µm (diameter).
