Originally Sentusidinium, subsequently Pilosidinium (combination not validly published).
Taxonomic senior synonym: Leiosphaeridia (now Pilosidinium) asymmetrica, according to Courtinat in Fauconnier and Masure (2004, p.447,449). Courtinat in Fauconnier and Masure (2004, p.447,449) proposed this combination while simultaneously considering it to be a junior synonym.

Age: early Kimmeridgian–Tithonian.

Occurrence: Rare in samples B-1 and B-4.
Diagnosis: A species of Sentusidinium which is sphaerical or ovoidal in shape and having an archaeopyle type A. The archaeopyle opening is without any accessory archaeopyle parasuture. Processes a:re numerous, fibrous, solid, bifid and evenly distributed over the autophragm. They are 1/8 to 1/4 the size of the
diameter of cyst.
Description: These are proximochorate cysts, sphaerical to subsphaerical in outline. Paratabulation is only indicated by an apical archaeopyle type A. Operculum may or may not be present. Archaeopyle opening is more or less circular, without any accessory archaeopyle parasutures. Processes are nontabular, densely and evenly distributed over the autophragm surface, and are short, hairlike, fibrous, solid, sometimes bifid, 1/8 to 1/4 the size of the diameter of cyst. Dimension (Based on eight specimens): Diameter
of the cyst = 25-32 .μm; Length of processes = 2-4 μm.
