Senoniasphaera turonica
From Fensome et al., 2019:
Senoniasphaera turonica (Prössl, 1990, p.108–109, pl.16, figs.1–2,6–7 ex Prössl, 1992b, p.113–114) Pearce et al., 2011, p.92. Holotype: Prössl, 1990, pl.16, figs.1–2; Fensome et al., 2019a, figs.17K–L. Originally Craspedodinium, subsequently (and now) Senoniasphaera. Taxonomic junior synonyms: Senoniasphaera rotundata subsp. alveolata, according to Pearce et al. (2011, p.92); Senoniasphaera alveolata (name not validly published), according to McLachlan et al. (2018, p.684–695). Age: middle Cenomanian–late Turonian.

Original description Prössl 1990 ex Prössl 1992
Emended description Pearce et al., 2011:

Comments Fensome et al., 2019a:
In describing this species (as Craspedodinium turonicum), Prössl (1990) noted that “A rough to fine-mesh reticulum on the inside of the ectophragm [i.e. periphragm] is partially connected to the endophragm by round or elongate columns” (translation by Pearce et al. 2011, p. 91). Pearce et al. (2011) transferred this species to Senoniasphaera and considered Senoniasphaera rotundata subsp alveolata to be a taxonomic junior synonym. Stratigraphical occurrence. Prössl (1990) recovered this species from the Turonian of northwestern Germany. Pearce et al. (2003) recorded Senoniasphaera rotundata subsp alveolata from the lower Turonian of England.
