Sepispinula pertusa

From Fensome et al., 2019:
Sepispinula pertusa (Davey, 1969a, p.156–157, pl.7, figs.6–7,9) Masure in Fauconnier and Masure, 2004, p.499. Holotype: Davey, 1969a, pl.7, fig.7. Originally Cleistosphaerdium huguoniotii var. pertusum, subsequently Cleistosphaeridium huguoniotii subsp. pertusum, thirdly Cleistosphaeridium? huguoniotii subsp. pertusum, fourthly Dapsilidinium ambiguum subsp. pertusum, fifthly Sepispinula huguoniotii subsp. pertusum, sixthly (and now) Sepispinula pertusa. Age: late Cenomanian.

Original diagnosis: Davey, 1969, p.156
A variety of C. huguoniotii possessing spherical to subspherical, smooth walled shell bearing numerous processes. Processes broad-based, tapering distally and terminating with two small recurved spines. Lumen of processes restricted by transverse septa.

Original descripition: Davey, 1969, p. 156
The processes taper distally from a fairly broad base (2.5-4Á in width) to a narrow neck (c. 0.5Á in width) before bifurcating to give two short, recurved spines. The processes are hollow but the lumen is traversed by a number of small septa which thus subdivide it, giving the processes a " holey " or vacuolated appearance. An archaeopyle is only rarely observable.

Affinities:
Davey, 1969, p. 156: This variety differs from C. huguoniotii in the form of its processes which are vacuolated, tend to be longer and bear relatively small distal spines. C. huguoniotii found in the same samples possesses processes which are considerably wider distally.
