Tanyosphaeridium singulare, Theodorova-Shakhmundes, sp. n.
Table 1, Fig. 4

Holotype - No. 5057/1-40, VNIGRI, Leningrad; Caspian Lowland, Ungar, borehole 5-K, depth 178-182.7 m; Lower Cretaceous, lower Valanginian.

Material. 2 specimens in good condition.

Description. The shell is elongated-oval in shape with an apical with a large pilometacarpus, with closed processes uniformly distributed over its surface. The processes are 30-32 in number, long (8.1-18.5 µm), thin, narrow (?), septate (at X1350), with somewhat widened bases and pointed closed distal ends. The apical pilometacarpus, with a diameter equal to the length of the transverse axis, has uneven edges, surrounded by six presingular processes. The shell is thin, much less than 1 µm thick, finely granular. The color is light yellow.

Dimensions, µm. Length of longitudinal axis 40-43.6 (43.6); Length of transverse 19.8-21.3 (21.3); Length of sawtooth 18.7-21.3 (21.3); Length of outgrowths 8.1-18.5 (9.0-18.5).
