Carnarvonodinium
From Williams et al., 2017:
[Carnarvonodinium, Parker, 1988, p. 167-168
Type species: Carnarvonodinium morganii, Parker, 1988 (fig.3A)]
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Original description: [Parker, 1988]:
Diagnosis:
Elongate ellipsoidal cysts with short apical horn, with or without slight equatorial bulge; archeopyle apical, Type [tA]- archeopyle suture indicating six precingular paraplates; processes, where present, larger at apices than elsewhere.
Description:
Shape: The cysts are elongate ellipsoidal, with or without a slight equatorial bulge, with a short, rounded apical horn, a broadly rounded
antapex. An antapical protrusion may occur.
Wall relationships: Cyst wall of an autophragm only.
Wall features: Autophragm normally with grana coni, or short, solid or hollow processes. Two different types of sculptural elements may occur, where processes are more prominent at, or even restricted to, the apices.
Archeopyle: Apical Type [tA] with a serrate principal archeopyle suture indicating 6 precingular paraplates. Operculum usually free.
Paratabulation: Normally indicated only by the archeopyle but on some specimens a faint transverse alignment of processes suggests a paracingulum.
