Tax. jr. syn. of Tasmanites Newton, 1875, according to Schopf et al., 1944, Eisenack, 1958 and, by implication, in Eisenack et al., 1979, who listed the holotype of the type species - Leiosphaera solida (Eisenack, 1931) Eisenack, 1938 - in synonymy under Tasmanites erratius Eisenack, 1963.
