Title	Micropaleontology of the Maastrichtian in borehole Bunde, The Netherlands

Abstract Herngreen, G.F.W., Felder, W.M., Kedves, M. and Meessen, J.P.M.T., 1986; Micropaleontology of the Maastrichtian in borehole Bunde, The Netherlands Core samples from the Maastricht Formation, Late Maestrichtian, in borehole Bunde have been examined for dinoflagellates, foraminifera and sporomorphs. Borehole Bunde is located 11 km north of the type section of the Maestrichtian, with which the strata in the hole could be well correlated. The stratigraphical results based on the dinoflagellates and foraminifera indicate the presence of Upper Maestrichtian (Ma, Mb). Special attention is paid to the spores and pollen grains and a comparison is made with time-equivalent assemblages from other Northwest European localities. The difference between the Bunde samples, which contain many sporomorphs, and the ENCI samples, which are almost devoid of spores and pollen grains, may be attributed to weathering. Five new sporomorph species are proposed (Uvaesporites neerlandicus, Patellasporites grootii, Polypodiaceoisporites bundensis, Nudopollis dijkstrai, Interporopollenites hammenii) and one new dinoflagellate (Palaeotetradinium maastrichtiense).
