Bull.Shenyang Inst.Geol.Min.Res.,Chin.Ac.Geo.Sci. pp.1-86 pl.30 The first discoveries of fossil planctonic dinoflagellates have been made within the last few years in strata of a marine-continental exchange facies below the Jixi Group in eastern Heilongjiang. These discoveries provide the marine dinoflagellate evidence needed in investigating the age of the Jixi Group and the correlation of the Jixi and Longzhaogou groups. This paper describes 44 genera and 91 species of dinoflagellates, and these include two new genera and 23 new species.
