Abh. 185: 179-194 Abstract: The presence of ammonites, foraminifera and dinocysts allows to improve the stratigraphic subdivision of the well exposed section S of the Erzherzog-Johann-Klause (EJK, Northern Calcareous Alps, Austria). The foraminiferal assemblages dominated by nodosariids and Epistomina are affected by carbonate dissolution, but still rich in species. Noteworthy is the presence of representatives of the genus Leupoldina. Dinocysts represented by more than forty species are described for the first time from this area.
